Shinoken seems like a good bet to take.

The overall proposition seems rather good to me and I am willing to increase my wager (already own a small position) on the basis of improving earnings quality and an attractive growth vision. Before building a much bigger position, I must get a better feeling for management’s integrity and the share distribution issue, and I want to do more research on the company’s growth prospects and the question if the product does fly. >>Read my note here (pdf).

Thank you so much! This is a fantastic write-up on Shinoken and the best write-up that I have seen so far. Love that you say that we always have to think in bets and making decisions. Personally, I came to the same conclusion. Good to have a position in Shinoken but I am not eager to increase it much further at least until I understand the business, management and capital allocation a bit better.

Thank you ver ymich for your kind words. Since reading Thinking in Bets from Annie Duke, I actively try to write this section. It helps a lot to think (more) probabilistically and to tackle a few of our biases 🙂
